An amazing opportunity to learn from very special teachers, sharing different styles of teaching yoga and their passion for practice. I really enjoyed the focus on the therapeutic benefits of yoga and how to make these accessible to all - there was a very inclusive ethos in the teacher training. Great company from course mates, nourishment for the body from wonderful chef and nourishment for the bliss body from the mountain views and swims in the sea. Thank you all!

At last I find time to express my gratitude to Gerry, Anna and Mario for the most excellent yoga teacher training 200hour course in Spain during August this year. Three wonderful, knowledgeable, excellent and passionate teachers who taught us how to teach the basics of yoga for beginner and intermediate levels. This course was so thorough and precise that I was able to take over the Hatha classes of my own yoga teacher who passed away 2 months before I started the training course. This was also possible thanks to my professional Shiatsu and Do-In training with SYM in Montpellier. I would also like to thank the wonderful cook and assistant and occasionally Anna, who all prepared us delicious vegetarian meals with their hearts. I thank you all deeply from my soul, words are not enough. Namaste

An amazing experience in all ways. The level of training was exceptional and far surpassed my expectations. Gerry’s wealth of experience and knowledge in yoga and therapeutic practices meant we were always supported in developing our yoga skills and teaching abilities in a supported and inspiring way. I felt so lucky to have him as our teacher. Anna brought such beautiful energy to the overall experience and welcomed us with smiles and warmth. She is a

fantastic teacher. Mario was wonderful and kind and nurturing and really helped us to be aware of our bodies and to deepen our practice. The town itself is magical and surrounded by beautiful valleys. The swallows and the sunrise welcomed each day. A truley wonderful experience. It was hard to leave !

A Consciousness Expanding Experience. The energy of this location is incredible. Gerry did a fantastic job of integrating yoga philosophy and psychology with modern neurophysiology and pracitcal application of asana, pranayama and shiatsu. Anna's goddesss-like leadership brought a divine synergy to the group--I learned so much from her and have the utmost respect and admiration for this woman! The wisdom of Mario's experience left impressions on my consciousness too numerous to measure. Nina, our chef, is probably one of the best humans on the planet and made all our delicious meals with so much love. I got so much more out of this training than I ever could have imagined when I booked.

The location of the teacher training was in a beautiful, quiet village. The schedule allowed for laying out in the sun, or getting some sleep during the mid day breaks. I also valued the opportunity to learn about Shiatsu among other alternative therapies. Receiving instruction from multiple teachers gave variety to the days and exposure to different teaching styles.

An amazing experience that I would warmly recommend. The location is peacefull and beautiful, there is plenty of healthy and tasty food and the accomodation friendly. The teachers- Gerry, Iain and Anna are the best. 3 different styles, but each one really good. I am very happy for choosing this course, Yoga was serious, authentic. I learned a lot of things and I would come back for another course.

A Gem of a teacher training. Truly exceptional training. Beautiful part of the world. Extremely knowledgeable but laid back and supportive teachers.

Francisco Calabuig, Afghanistan, 2017

Instruction is great; very good yoga and very good quality of instructors. You learn a lot of interesting and useful things for teaching yoga, as well as for your personal practice. And the food is delicious.... The location is also really good, a self contained Spanish village full of nice people and very close to the coast.

A Highly professional training in a stunning environment. High quality training, demanding but respectful , high quality food , stunning beauty of the countryside, perfect timing , very good logistics. My study with SYM was more than a training course!

I had the chance to study with Gerry, Anna and Iian, all life long learners, highly qualified, passionate, compassionate and inspiring teachers.

Over these three intense weeks, I learned :

* a lot about myself, my limitations as well as my bodys endless resources

* necessary skills to ensure my classes will be well organised, paced in accordance with my students

* how to make sure my classes will be interesting and safe

* how to include chanting and meditation in my daily practice and teaching

* the founding elements of Yoga philosophy and yoga psychology

SYM YTT team made sure we had perfect accommodation, all logistics aspects covered as necessary, healthy meals in a warm and beautiful environment. Classes were perfectly paced, giving us free time after long days of study and practice.

Today, I feel profound joy and balance in my daily practice and teaching.''

An Amazing experience. I loved the location, the small Spanish village is just perfect for a retreat. I loved the quality of the teaching and the lessons we did at the beach! The food was just Amazing. I am not vegan however with the vegan food provided I haven't missed anything

at all. I am going back next month to volunteer, I simply fell in love with this experience!

''My yoga teacher training with SYM was fantastic. The focus on alignment and a whole body approach ensures the course contents facilitate the learner with a safety conscious awareness when leading their own class. Gerry, Anna and Ian ensured all lessons were detailed while providing individualised support where needed. Additionally, they were supportive and encouraging at all times. Thanks SYM for a great first step into becoming a yoga teacher.''

Great people, great yoga, great food - overall an amazing journey with amazing people! I came back in 2018 on an arranged study trip with my fellow physiotherapist colleagues to conduct a training program in the beautiful village of Cervera Del Maestre.

Cory Dillingham, Colorado, USA, 2014

I'm so blessed to have taken my 200hour yoga teacher training in Cervera Del Maestre with Gerry as the head instructor. Just over 3 weeks of training I found myself very centred and inspired I would do this training all over again with no hesitation. I highly recommend this training for anyone who wants to teach yoga and immerse themselves in the Spanish culture! It's incredible and an experience I'll never forget.

Griet, Belgium, 2014

The 200 hour teacher training in Spain was satisfying and fulfilling in every single way. It was exactly what I was looking for. The teachers explain in detail how to get safely in and out of each pose and what the correct alignment should be like…. And all that in a very relaxed and easy going atmosphere. Not to mention the food: I have never eaten such healthy, quality food in my entire life. An experience never to forget!''

Iain Loban, Murcia, Spain, 2014

I attended the course in 2014. It's in a great place. The food cooked by the chef was fantastic. I met some incredible people. I found that Gerry's profound

understanding of shiatsu gives him a unique and fascinating take on many aspects of yoga teaching and practice. A great course which I highly recommend.

Anna Leslie, UK, 2014

Gerry's unique esoteric knowledge ties Indian philosophy to the Western traditions, making the theory very interesting and relevant to our own ancient culture. The deep understanding of the chakras and prana taught opened up a different dialogue for me allowing for a truly profound experience. The asana practise was challenging, therapeutic and energising, and i took away a wealth of knowledge to improve my practise and help others with. The food, people and location were all wonderful and I highly recommend this course for all those ready to embark on their yoga journey.
