Gerry is a certified Senior Yoga Teacher, SYT, and holds accreditation with Yoga Alliance International (YAI), International Yoga Federation (IYF) and the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center. He is also a registered member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
He began his yoga practice with the Iyengar method in London, developing his approach for more than 30 years along with professional experience as a teacher and therapist in Shiatsu and Chinese medicine.
He is founder and director of SYM-Ltd and has taught Yoga and Shiatsu in Spain, France, Greece, Italy and the United Kingdom.
His knowledge of oriental healing arts, Yoga and martial arts combines with his knowledge of the Western spiritual and therapeutic traditions.
Over the years, he has merged his unique knowledge of diagnosis, treatment and healing, nutrition, philosophy and psychology to create truly interesting courses and workshops related to personal growth and transformation, as well as the cure of chronic and degenerative diseases. .
After completing his studies in Archeology and Anthropology at Cambridge University, he worked as a language teacher and TV reporter / producer before devoting himself full-time to healing and teaching.

Mario works and lives in London as a Yoga Teacher and massage therapist. He also runs retreats in France. He is a 200 Hour yoga alliance certified yoga teacher, graduating with SYM in 2012. He also has over 15 years of professional experience in holistic massage therapy. Mario’s extensive range of therapeutic and holistic experience as well as his warm hearted nature inspires his teaching and yoga practice. Mario is fluent in English, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Andrea B.S.N., R.N. is the founder and CEO of Mindful Cube, an American consulting company dedicated to helping individuals and organizations harness the power of mindfulness to achieve and sustain peak performance. Andrea certified as a 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher with SYM in 2018, and teaches the Anatomy and Physiology on the 200H level training, as well as teaching Yoga classes. Andrea's style blends Western science and neurophysiology with Eastern contemplative wisdom traditions to help people understand how the body - mind connection works and learn brain-based techniques that reduce illness and increase health and wellbeing. She is a registered nurse in both Texas and California and holds three degrees -- a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Andrea has been trained through Brown University to teach a system of therapeutic meditation known as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), which equips individuals with the skills to navigate distressing thoughts, sensations and emotions and live more fully in the present moment.
Massimo Cantara is a professional yoga teacher, 500 hour level, registered with Yoga Alliance International, as well as a professional Shiatsu therapist and teacher. He is also a qualified kinesiologist and director of Holismos, a complementary therapies center in Poggibonsi, Tuscany, Italy. where he also teaches Anatomy and Physiology.
Massimo originally trained as a percussionist, playing for many years in various groups in the United Kingdom and Italy. He speaks Italian and English.
Anna Leslie is a professional yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance International having completed several yoga teacher training courses in the past 5 years. She graduated with SYM in 2014 and continued her energetic training in her yoga practice studying Japanese DO-IN, Meridian stretching and Shiatsu over the past 3 years; deepening her yoga by completing another Yoga teacher training course with the International Sivananda Vedanta Center Ashram training in March 2018, in Argentina.
Anna spent 6 months in India, in 2015, where she studied in several different yoga ashrams , including Amma ashram, Sivananda Ashram in Kerala and others. She has also completed 5 Vipassana silent meditation retreats in India and Europe. Anna has been working for SYM since 2015, helping with all aspects of the teacher training courses, including teaching, cooking and course organisation.
Anna dedicated herself to sports from a young age, running the London Marathon and training for competitive horse riding and show jumping. Once discovering the healing benefits of yoga and meditation she dedicated herself full time to this discipline and its great philosophical and spiritual teachings.
Nina is from Muldavia and has been living in Spain for the past 15 years. Nina is a great cook, she uses her natural and cultural influences as well as her ten years of professional Spanish cooking to bring variation and flavour to the table. Nina has over 4 years professional vegetarian cooking experience and brings warmth and culinary delights into the retreats. Nina lives locally on a farm and often brings fresh organic produce from home to cook. Nina speaks, Spanish, Muldavian, Romanian and Russian
